Small Groups & One-to-One Mentoring
Built for Nurses. Taught in a Real Clinic. Designed for Real Practice.
Most aesthetic training teaches you where to inject. This program teaches you how to think, assess, and treat — with the clinical framework, hands-on experience, and three months of post-course support that weekend courses don’t provide.
Delivered across online theory, face-to-face learning, and supervised clinical practice at Skindeep Aesthetics in Victoria. Open to registered nurses with current AHPRA registration.

The Gap No One Talks About in Aesthetic Training
Three Reasons Most Courses Leave You Underprepared
Knowing where to inject is not the same as knowing why. Without a framework for patient assessment, consultation, and treatment planning, every patient feels like your first.
Conference rooms and hotel ballrooms don't prepare you for the reality of clinical practice. The lighting is different. The pressure is different. The stakes are different.
Most courses hand you a credential and wish you luck. No mentoring. No follow-up. No one to call when you're treating a patient and something unexpected happens.
What This Program Covers
You’ll build the clinical knowledge, practical skills and professional foundations to practise aesthetic medicine safely and confidently. Every hands-on session runs at Skindeep Aesthetics in Edithvale, a working clinic, with no more than two students at a time. And the program doesn’t stop at the certificate, you’ll have three months of clinical support once you start practising on your own.

Your learning doesn't end when the course does
The step from supervised training into independent practice brings questions, uncertainty and situations that need further clinical consideration. That is exactly when having someone to call matters most.
3 months
of clinical support after you graduate. You won’t be working it out on your own. Our team is there during business hours, for whatever comes up.
Treatment planning
Talk through your approach before you proceed.
Patient concerns
Work out how to respond when a patient raises something.
Unexpected results
Get a second opinion when an outcome isn't what you planned for.
When to escalate
Recognise when referral or medical support is the right call.
Accredited Learning You Can Trust
A certificate should mean something. Every element of this program is accredited under The CPD Group, Approved Provider #790615 — assessed independently, against recognised CPD standards, not just stamped and handed over.
That means the hours you invest here count toward the professional development your registration requires.

What Sets This Program Apart
Nurse-Led by an Active Practitioner
You’re learning from someone who practises every day, current, accountable, and working at the standard she expects of every graduate.
Clinical Confidence, Not Just Technique
You’ll learn patient assessment, risk identification, and complication management, not just how to inject.
Small Cohorts, Genuine Mentoring
Places are strictly limited so every participant gets hands-on time and direct, personalised mentoring, not a seat in a lecture theatre.
AHPRA-Aligned, Safety-First Curriculum
Every element of the program aligns with current AHPRA guidelines, and safety is built into every technique and every clinical decision.
Real Clinic Environment
Training takes place at Skindeep Aesthetics in Victoria, a working clinic, not a conference room.
Support That Continues After Graduation
Your first three months in practice come with clinical support during business hours. Beyond that, you’ll stay in an alumni network with ongoing case discussion and access to the broader AesMedics community.
Five Steps to Practising with Confidence
Step 1
Online Theory
Build your foundation before you step into the clinic. Self-paced modules on our LMS cover skin science, facial anatomy, patient assessment, consultation processes, and safety — giving you the knowledge base you’ll need before the hands-on component begins.
Step 2
Face-to-Face Learning
The classroom component, where theory meets clinical context. You’ll cover clinical terminology, cosmetic skincare science, and a full facial assessment framework — so you understand not just how to treat, but why each decision matters.
Step 3
Hands-On Clinical Practice
Guided practical sessions at Skindeep Aesthetics under direct supervision. With no more than two students per session, you’ll practise techniques on real patients in a real clinical environment, with real-time feedback throughout.
Step 4
Business Setup & Branding
The practical side of building a sustainable aesthetic practice. You’ll work through clinic setup, branding, social media, client experience, compliance, and marketing — turning your clinical skills into a viable career.
Step 5
Ongoing Support & Next Steps
Where to go next. You’ll finish the program with three months of clinical support, then continued access to case discussion and the Beyond the Aesthetic Edge community, so you keep developing long after the course ends.
Hi — I'm Carolyn.
I’m a Registered Nurse and Cosmetic Nurse Specialist with 26 years of clinical experience, including more than 18 years in aesthetic medicine. I hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessing, and I built my first clinic in 2012.
Across my career — working in clinic, running my own business, and training other clinicians — one thing has always stood out to me:
“There’s a big difference between learning how to inject… and truly understanding what you’re doing.”
Over time, I realised how much of what genuinely prepares a clinician for real practice simply wasn’t being taught that way. Most courses hand you a technique and a certificate. Very few hand you the clinical thinking, the judgement, and the confidence to use them safely.
That’s exactly why I created Aura Aesthetics Academy — a structured program that reflects what actually happens in clinic, and builds real, clinically grounded confidence. Not surface-level skills.
I still practise. I still treat patients. And I teach the way I wish I’d been taught.
— Carolyn
Every Decision Starts with Patient Safety
Injectables are medical procedures, not beauty treatments — and every one carries real risk. That’s why safety isn’t a module here. It’s the foundation everything is built on.
Injecting without a clear understanding of vascular pathways, nerve locations, and correct depth can lead to vascular occlusion, nerve injury, product misplacement, and poor outcomes. These are the real consequences of inadequate training.
Here’s how safety is built into everything you learn:
- Facial anatomy covered in depth, then reinforced in clinic
- Complication recognition and emergency management
- AHPRA-aligned compliance from day one
- Informed consent and clinical reflection treated as core skills
The goal isn’t a nurse who can perform a procedure. It’s a nurse who can practise safely and independently — with the judgement to protect their patients and their career.

No. The course is designed to take you from your clinical nursing foundation into aesthetic medicine. What you do need is current AHPRA registration and solid nursing experience.
What AHPRA registration do I need?
You must hold current, unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse. Enrolled Nurses are not eligible - injectables must be independently administered by a registered nurse under a prescribing arrangement.
Do I need to already have a prescriber arranged?

How long does the course take?
The Foundation of Neurotoxin program runs over 5 days of face-to-face training plus self-paced eLearning completed beforehand. The Foundation of Dermal Fillers program runs over 4 days. Hands-on clinical training days are scheduled separately after your theory component, so the total timeframe will vary depending on your chosen dates.
How many students are in each cohort?
A maximum of 12 students per cohort, with a minimum of 4 to run. Hands-on clinical training is conducted in pairs of two for personalised attention and direct trainer support.
Where does training take place?
Theory and business days are held at selected venues across Melbourne and South East Victoria. All hands-on clinical training takes place at our Edithvale Clinical Training Centre, a working aesthetic clinic.
How many CPD hours does the course attract?
⚠️ [TBC — Confirm total CPD hours]
Are payment plans available?
Yes. A 30% deposit secures your place, with the balance due three weeks before your course. We accept Stripe, PayPal, bank transfer, and Zip Pay. Full payment unlocks your online pre-learning modules two weeks early.
What happens after I finish the course?
You graduate into the Aura Aesthetics Academy alumni network with access to ongoing mentoring, case discussion, and the Beyond the Aesthetic Edge community. You won't be left to work it out on your own.
